Understanding VPTI:
Import Verification Requirements in Indonesia
VPTI (Import Technical Verification or Inspection) is a mandatory verification process for certain imported goods in accordance with Indonesia’s applicable import regulations. The process is carried out to verify the conformity of import documents, technical specifications, quantity, type, and country of origin of the goods. As part of the process, KSO SCISI conducts physical verification and checks the specifications of the goods in the country of origin or at the port of loading before shipment to Indonesia.

As a VPTI service provider, KSO SCISI assists importers in fulfilling regulatory requirements while reducing potential risks and obstacles in the import process. Once the verification process has been completed and all requirements have been fulfilled, KSO SCISI issues a Surveyor Report (Laporan Surveyor/LS) as one of the required documents for the import and customs clearance process. By prioritizing transparency, timely communication, and compliance with established service standards, KSO SCISI supports a more orderly, efficient, and compliant import process.
